Evidence of The Greyhounds Being FORCED TO race cheetahs at Shanghai Wild Animal Park at the Sickening Animals
Why are Greyhounds being racing and Kept at Shanghai Wild Animal Park?
Kerry Eliman and her team desperately tried to rescue these poor greyhounds but they were refused by the park owners
Retired Australian greyhounds are forced to race against African cheetahs in a “one-hundred-metre race” for the title of “fastest in the animal kingdom.”
5 years ago this abuse was exposed and still the 40 greyhounds remain at the Shanghai Wild Animal Park in China. After not being allowed to rescue the greyhounds groups continued to campaign for their release directly with the Shanghai Wildlife Park and with the government.
40 greyhounds were reported to be be kept in confined and horrid conditions this was observed by Kerry Elliman , she stated the only times the dogs were let out was to participate in the race against the cheetahs,
A previous 2015 investigation conducted by Animals Australia revealed that the captive greyhounds at Shanghai Wild Animal Park were housed in a sweltering “prison” with little food or water. Horrifically, it further claimed that any injured greyhounds were fed live to the big cats.
“We had hoped that the greyhound industry would seek to negotiate the release of these Australian greyhounds,” stated Lyn White from Animals Australia. “That they have been left to live out their lives in the most miserable of circumstances is incredibly sad.”
“In these modern times, there is no place for a ruthless gambling industry that so callously uses these trusting dogs, only to so frequently discard them when they are no longer seen as ‘profitable,’” states the Animal Asia.

WILD WELFARE CONDEMNS THE CRUEL TREATMENT OF TIGERS AT CHINESE ZOO
Footage, uploaded by a member of the public, shows a young tiger, that looks to be both thin and lethargic, being roughly handled by a zoo keeper as part of a zoo visitor photo opportunity at the Park.
Wild Welfare’s director, Dave Morgan said: “We are deeply shocked and concerned by this video, showing a young, defenceless animal suffering at the hands of zoo staff. The activities in the footage clearly contravene China’s State Forestry Administration regulations, which as of April 2015, stated that close contact between wild animals and visitors should be stopped immediately.
In 2013 a video went viral after a bear pounced and attempted to mutilate a monkey during a bicycle race at the park’s . Both animals had fallen off their bicycles.
The incident was called “cruel” and sparked calls for such events to be banned.
Below are statements taken from Trip Advisor highlighting the barbaric cruelty of the Animals and how they are being treated .There are many that can be found that Documented Cruelty from People going to Shanghai Animal Wildlife Park this need to END!
